Jeremy - (Since I can't figure out how to "quick reply")
I'll start a new thread. The statement to "cliick a quick-link icon" leaves me in the cold. I don't seem to have any to click.
Anyway - I see in your historical replay that Chick Robitaille had two straight years of 40+ complete games. I believe in 04-05. This was the type thing that bothered me when I did a long history in OOTP6.
Robitaille played only two years for the Pirates. His alltime record was 12-8 and he pitched 186 innings in his lifetime. He was an All-Star in my replay, and seems like yours also. Many.many batters and pitchers were like this.
I realize that when players are imported you can "Make Bad" and "Adjust Down" for little used players but the real solution for players who were excellent over only a couple years would be to have a very high probability that their career would be short.
Is their any chance that something of this nature has been incorporated into OOTP7 ? If not , does anyone have a good work-a-round.
I wonder if someone has, or would, import a few defensive players like Bill Mazeroski,(DP Rate), Roberto Clemente,(Arm), Willie Mays,(range),Ozzie Smith,(range) to see how the new game handles fielding.
Might as well make this a book ______________
How about pitchers hitting? Any chance that they now have real batting ratings rather than random? (Sain,Peters,Lemon,Rooker,Etc).
Thanks for any input.
