Minor League Contracts

Does anyone else have a problem in getting players to sign minor league deals?.

I understand why the big name guys wont sign but I was trying to get an average 22 year old catcher to beef up my A roster and he declined saying he 'could get a deal elsewhere'. He was asking for $1m over two years even though he had never played a game in the majors.

I've had a few free agents decline minor contracts but never one without major league experience.

Have you tried again after pre-season stars? I've noticed players such as this are more willing to accept a minor league contract then if they haven't gotten the major contract they're asking for.
