I was simming through a season in my historical league (1908, going into 1909), when I got a notice at the very end of the year that one of my players had suffered a career-ending injury.
Then when I clicked on the player, it said he was day-to-day with 90% effectiveness. Presumably, for as long as he decides to play. (Although, next to "injury duration," on this player's card, it said "Career Over!" I don't know. He's a starting pitcher, and this happened in his last turn of the year. I'm certainly curious to see what happens when Spring comes around in 1909. Is this normal? I don't really care if it is or not. Just curious if anybody else had seen such a thing -- I've seen career-ending injuries before, but other injured player profiles have said very clearly that the player was injured, and not day-to-day. I guess I'll find out whether he's really gone forever or just permenantly 90% when my new season starts up. |

I think that happened to me once in my OOTP3 career replay. If I recall correctly the pitcher was still at reduced effectiveness the following season. I edited him back to healthy a month or two into the year.
It was the only time I have seen it happen as it has not happened to me with OOTP4.
