How can I put my own player photos in the game?

download a face pack and read the readme.txt file. I seem to remember they go under c:\program files\ootp4\pics but not sure as I don't have the game here.

Places to d/l facepacks are:

www.baseballsimcentral.com
www.400softwarestudios.com

There are others too but I can't remember them now.

Nurse, where are my blue pills?

Cheers

Rich

yeah just download the face packs and make sure the pics are in *.bmp* format. Also must either us the Player ID number of player's name, ex. aaron_boone . Player's name is the best way to go...

Pictures go into this directory:

C:\Program Files\OOTP4\MBL.lg\PHOTOS

Assuming that is where you have OOTP4 installed.

IMHO

Only if you're doing an MLB league. Fictional leagers like myself would (I believe) prefer the player IDs as filenames, since they can be reused without editing after the players retire.

True, that is a good point. It would be best to use IDs with fictional leagues.

Thanks for correcting me

I have the complete set of Mogul '99 pictures (very good generic action pictures of a large group of fictional players) if anyone is interested - with a tad bit of photoshop magic they could easily be used for OOTP.

Great work! - but let me tell you, apparently SportsMogul no longer owns the rights to those pictures. They were artwork based on real players and MLB demanded they not be used.

OK, cool, so then my disclaimer is no longer valid.
