Three of the Legendsport Leagues have openings. The various leagues fill different niches - maybe one is right for you. Here's the rundown:
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE BASEBALL : *A career, semi-historical league with a twist - Negro Leaguers are included in an "expanded" MLB of 24 teams split into two leagues of two divisions. *Just concluded a successful inaugural season and have several openings available. The next season is 1915 and will be cranking up in mid-July. *Negro Leaguers such as Pop Lloyd and Rube Foster are already in the league, Oscar Charleston is a rookie in 1915 and others such as Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson will debut in the season in which their actual Negro League careers began. * Career league with no financials. *** AVAILABLE TEAMS - Tigers, Milwaukee, White Sox, Yankees & Senators in AL; Cardinals, Cubs, Giants, Baltimore & Dodgers in the NL FIGMENT LEAGUE BASEBALL : * Fictional league based in the modern era with all financials turned on * Just completed its third season * Needs 4 owners to fill out current group. Would love to expand if possible * Ability to build and modify ballparks - park effects completed based upon physic-based model which accounts for the altitude and weather of the market in which the park is constructed. ** AVAILABLE TEAMS: Pittsburgh, Norfolk, San Francisco and Toronto ULTRA REPLAY BASEBALL : * Replay league in which the players are all rerated each season based upon their actual MLB season. * Players will debut and retire in the year in which they actually did those things in MLB. * Draft is held two years in advance of debut * Player ratings are based on extensive research including situational stats, fielding stats, catcher sb-cs percentages and much, much more * Played on a slower scale than most leagues - we do three-day sims five times a week (eg. fifteen "sim" days take place per week of real-time, so a season lasts approximately three months). *** AVAILABLE TEAMS: Brewers, White Sox, Blue Jays, Phillies, Cubs, Dodgers and Padres If you are interested in any of these openings, please email me at commish@legendsport.com If you have any questions, please post a response in this thread so your question & my answer will be available for all to see. Thanks for your time, Joe Cronin ----------------------------------------- Commish: AUB, URB, GOG, FLB AT Greats: San Diego Padres AUB: Newark Peppers GDBA: Chicago Cubs GOG: Cleveland Blues OOL: New York Skyliners URB: Oakland A's

Just let me add my voice to Colleyvol's - Joe is a great commish, he will respond to inquiries or questions right away - and he has rarely missed a sim (and if he does - he gives plenty of warning).
He puts a lot of extra work into the sims, and runs clean, fair and fun leagues. If you join one of these leagues, you will not regret it. Nuk |

Thanks Cooleyvol & Nuk for the kind words & also thanks to those who've already signed up.
Here's an update of where we are: Figment League - one team remains available (Toronto); if I get 5 requests the league will expand from 16 to 20 teams. Ultra Replay League - Milwaukee, Toronto, Philly & San Diego still available. Click on the team logo on the URB homepage to view the team pages. Alternate Universe - this one has the most openings. I'm trying to fill the league before we draft for the 1915 season. Here's what's open: Baltimore, Milwaukee, Brooklyn Dodgers, NY Yanks, NY Giants, Washington

Are their message boards for any of these leagues? One of the best parts of an online OOTP league, IMO, is the owner interaction. I am definitely interested in the figment and replay leagues you have available. Thanks.

I am working on setting up a messageboard for all my leagues. Currently we're using Yahoo Groups.

Update of where we're at:
Figment League is FULL - email me at commish@legendsport.com if you're interested in being an expansion team next season (which should start around the beginning of September). Alternate Universe League still has the following openings: Baltimore Terrapins Brooklyn Robins (aka Dodgers) Chicago White Sox New York Yankees New York Giants Ultra Replay Baseball has the following teams still available: Texas Rangers (in first place, won AL West last season) San Diego Padres (good team has Carlton Fisk, Dave Winfield, others) Toronto Blue Jays (not very good - would be a nice challenge) Milwaukee Brewers (defending AL Champs suffering from neglect) If you're interested in any of these openings in good, established leagues, please drop me an email at commish@legendsport.com Thanks, Joe Cronin
