Have you met your Commish?

I have been a member of the ATHL since we started 5 years ago. Though some teams have changed many of the early owners are still around. The commisioner came to Dallas this week and I got to meet him for the first time in person though we've been good friends for years. It was a little surreal but really cool as well. We had a great time too. So I was wondering, have any other owners out there met their commisioner?

Not the commish of my league but I did meet up with someone I competed against and became friends with through OOTP. My brother and I were on a Midwest baseball trip last April and we all met up for a Blue Jays/Yankees game in Toronto. It was a bit strange at first not knowing what to expect from someone you'd only conversed via AIM with but getting to know him and his family that way helped. I'm glad we met up.

i am the commish of all my leagues, so yes i have met myself

but to turn the question around, i have not met any members of any of the leagues in person. i have had phone conversations with some of them, and recently a failed attempt at meeting a co-commish due to bad timing while he was passing thru O'Hare, but its something i have thought about wanting to do for sometime, especially the regulars i have known for several years now.

There's a bunch of OOTPers from Iowa. That's odd.

There's quite a few from Minnesota as well, if not more than Iowa.

I've noticed this too. In fact, over the years there have been several Iowans on the beta team. Per capita, quite a high number it would seem.

If ever I run a league, hopefully we could see each other at some point in time.

Apparently either none of them live in or near SoCal or there just isn't any desire to meet me!

Well, only if I have the money. I'm just a student.

Im in DSM Sporr. Got Season Tix (ok, my boss does) to the ICubs. If you ever want to check out a game, look me up. I've taken a member of my league (NAHHBL) to a game when he was in Iowa.

That's North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa. We actually have cities with more than 500 people in them here. We also have the second biggest mall in the world and 4 professional sports franchises.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm in the DSM area about once a month or so.
