Starting all over again??
Is it recommended to start your universe all over again with TBCB 2 and get the best use of all the new features? Like just having one figher record when he fights in more than one division for example.
I have had problems with importing my old database over to TBCB 2, a major one being some fighters now have records like 75-21-6 when in reality they have only had six fights. Anyone else have problems importing their databases? Last edited by Boxingnut; 02-15-2006 at 05:32 PM. |

The big difference occurs early on. In an existing universe, it takes a while (as well as some manual work) before the ageing balances out for fighters who already have active careers, and you get a few more ranking oddities until the numbers work themselves out as the universe progresses. However, eventually it all fits together. With a new universe, you don't have to deal with the initial phase where the adjustments are being made. It works well right from the start. In both instances, the universes end up operating just as smoothly, it's just that you have more of a break in period if you're trying to use an existing one. If using your old universe isn't of prime importance to you, I'd skip the break in phase and start a new one. If you're really attached to the old universe, it's really not that big of a deal to put up with the transition. |

I was worried about the conversion when I started testing TBCB2 but I have been very lucky, every single thing has worked to perfection for me. Which might have alot to do with the ferociousness with which I defend this game.

I wouldn't start over unless you are looking for an excuse to do so. I found a few odd-ball rankings that ironed themselves out perfectly after a few months of game time.
Starting over is a lot of fun though!

If they have already fought you can add a new rating record and input the ratings by hand. You do that on the ratings page.
