Do some searching. There are plenty of threads on the AI waiving huge prospects.

it's one of the flaws we can only hope will be correct with a (hopefully) better AI in OOTP2006

I think I will abandon my currentleague...the AI is just so bad. Even if I converted to the new version, I'd still have a stable full of great prospects that were all gained from waivers or free agency.

Lots of players have been released by one team and caught on somewhere else.

Some of you seem to expect the AI to be flawless and never, ever, make a mistake, and that's just not how baseball is. A good simulation models reality as accurately as it can, and in reality, baseball GM's screw up all the darned time.

True, but this happens to be the 50th ranked Prospect in the league. Wo would do that? In looking at the team's roster,I can see they had a fw very good Left Fielders, but wouldn't a team at least try to trade someone that kind of a prospect?

On a different subject, I'm playing in managermode, and noticed when I looked at the top 100 prospect list, my players are listed differently than they are in the top minors systems. Eg. a player in one is ranked #47, while in the other list he's 50. Also, why is it when I view a player's card, his star rating is different in the HTML card? I get the feeling this is a bug, and that is actually a cheat, I'm willing to bet the HTML card is the "true" ratings.

and really, the bigger question becomes: If he was released on the 7th, that means e was onthe market two weeks before I claimed him. Why didn't another team try to sign him? It's not likehewanted megabucks since e signed a minor league contract.

Hamilton's drug problem is obviously hurting team chemistry

This is an example of why I've turned off waivers in all my leagues
