He only shot 31 shots which actually isn't much over his average, which I believe is 27. Anyways, he shot 22 of 25 from the FT...totally going to help the points spike up.

I thought this was the interesting part to his stat line...http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore?gid=2005122013

0 assists

I also found it interesting he shot 10 3-pointers. He, for the most part, hasn't shot too many 3's on the season, only averaging a mere 4 attempts per game.

edit- He could've done a LeBron and score that much and still lose. That's usually what happens to my Cavs everytime.

Another reason to dislike Kobe.

Didn't you hear Kobe's quote?

If he doesn't shoot the ball then there won't be enough offensive rebound opportunities for his teammates.

SHEESH. He's just tryin to be a team player.

Nope, because of his selfishness. Yeah, he shot 18-for-31 (58%) but he doesn't even have a single assist to show for it.

He gets wrapped up in individual accomplishments. His primary focus is not the team but himself.

FYI, he didn't even play in the 4th quarter. Why would Jackson take him out when he had the chance to put up 70+?

He ranked 30 for assist per game. It's not bad at all.

Not bad at all. Too bad, he didn't show that in tonight's game.

And they won, in dominating fashion. What's the problem? Just like in every other sport, if the other team can't stop it you keep doing it.

Maybe he would get hurt, but that's just a little chance. I've read in some article that Kobe was robbed of this once-in-a-lifetime chance to beat the single-game record for points for the Lakers.

When you are on fire like Kobe was, you don't pass. Point blank. Incredible game by Bryant and one I wish I had witnessed. 62 points in 3 quarters is simply insanity. A scoring performance for the ages.

There's no problem in that. IMO, he's just a selfish, very talented, scorer.

You got to come up with better reasonings to say he's selfish.

I wonder if this will fuel another Kobe-Phil problem.

Well, how about their feud with Shaq and Phil Jackson before?

Last season, he run the place in LA, what happened? Nothing.

No matter what you think of Bryant normally, I don't see you could seriously entertain any thought that what Bryant did in this game was selfish. Bryant simply did what helped his team the most. If he passed, he would have hurt the team's chance of winning. I mean, He outscored the entire Mavs team by himself, after three. Jesus christ. That's amazing.

Yeah, I'm not taking that away from him. All I'm saying is, my impression on him is still the same even with his performance tonight.

Sorry if I started with another reason to dislike Kobe. My bad.
