The Hall of Fame Ballot

This year's ballot:

Rick Aguilera, Albert Belle, Bert Blyleven, Will Clark, Dave Concepcion, Andre Dawson, Gary DiSarcina, Alex Fernandez, Gary Gaetti, Steve Garvey, Dwight Gooden, Rich Gossage, Ozzie Guillen, Orel Hershiser, Gregg Jefferies, Tommy John, Doug Jones, Don Mattingly, Willie McGee, Hal Morris, Jack Morris, Dale Murphy, Dave Parker, Jim Rice, Lee Smith, Bruce Sutter, Alan Trammell, Walt Weiss, John Wetteland.

It's not a particularly strong one, so it may be time for some holdovers like Blyleven to get in. What do you think? Who gets in?

I say they all get in. Why not. I'm feeling generous. They should expand the hall by a couple hundred thousand square feet and just start letting people in in droves each year!

They should also create a new criteria for entrance into the hall, funny names.

This might be an excellent opportunity for Blyleven to get in.

Yup, it's a very weak class.

Go Dale Murphy!

I'd also vote for Joey Belle, were he available.

I'm thinking Blyleven and possibly Mattingly could get in. There are some other possibilities, like Dawson and Sutter, but I feel like these two have the best shot.

Tommy John could almost deserve a nod simply for his surgery.

Yeah, but he didn't do the surgery, he just needed it. Can someone be a HOFer based on being injured? Wally Pipp, maybe?

I need an image of an owl demanding a thread be a poll.

Seriously, poll man. You're the poll man and even you passed up the opportunity for a tailor-made poll? What gives?

Yeah, but he was the first to take a chance on it. Look at Gehrig, he got a disease named after him and made the Hall.

There needs to be more poll choices for it to be a poll. Too many candidates.

Well then just leave off everyone but Orel Hershiser because we know he's the only real candidate of the lot.

It could be two polls. 15 of one, 14 of the other. gmo could even come up with a schedule, although it'd be easier if we could either contract, or add one more to make things even.
