HOF Criteria

Should a person with 500+ Saves be in the hall? I had a player retire who had 508 saves with a 2.89 ERA for his career and he didnt make it.

What's the league ERA over that time period? Is 2.89 really good?

Yes. Very good. It's a highly offensive league. Quite a few guys hit 50HR's each year, a few guys have reached 3000 hits, etc etc etc.

Sounds like it, yeah. Saves are a pretty useless stat, IMO, but that's a very impressive ERA for a career in an offense-heavy league. Here's hoping the HOF requirements are a lot more flexible in future versions of OOTP.

Sounds like you have the HOF Criteria set at default, which is 600 SV's. You can change that and other criteria yourself in league setup. I usually set mine at 500 for modern era leagues.

Or you could set the standards super high and induct players manually into the hall so that the game doesn't stricly follow the HOF standards.
