what the hell happened here?!?!?!?

http://nahhbl.ootp-online.com/box1345.html

in this game, my closer started, pitched all 9 innings giving up 14 hits, 24 walks, 23 runs, pitching 245 pitches, and ended up injured.

WTF??????????????????????????????????????

One other interesting note, it says he set a single game record for bases on balls with 13, but the box score shows him finishing up with 24 for the game. Weird that it didn't keep updating that.

And up until the 9th inning, he kept saying, "I am fine, get back to the dugout!"

Your team's manager is a sadist.

I can just picture the argument:

"You want to pitch more??? You want more innings??? FINE, TAKE THE DAMN BALL, YOU'RE STARTING TONIGHT!"

On a bright side, he received a game score of 46 for his performance... Oh no... wait! It's minus 46...

I guess he was subscribing to the theory that you don't just bring in your closer in the 9th, you bring him in the most important inning. And apparently every inning was the most important inning.

I see where he had 245 PI. Isn't 245 the highest number allowed in Markus' DB fields? That dude could have thrown 300+ in the game.

Perhaps he was working on his mechanics, and the team took one for him.

He did pitch a scoreless 1st and 5th-8th. So he has that going for him.

Which is nice.

Maybe you have AI control rosters and all your other pitchers were tired so they brought in your best reliever.

Just curious, who was scheduled to pitch that day? Tired? injured? This is really funny but I'm sure there's an explanation. I once played around with expanding a solo league and forgot to have an expansion draft. The two expansion teams had just barely 9 players each(from free agency) and the pitching stats were wacky because position players pitched and I think there was no center fielder for one whole game.
