ANPA has a couple of openings!

The America's National Pasttime Association, a modern league that started with CBLCardinal's 2004 roster set, version 2.1, and is entering the 2008 season has a couple of openings.

One opening is the Oakland A's. They have won the AL West every season but last season when they finished 5 games behind the Texas Rangers. They are in great shape both player-wise and financially and are ready to regain their dominance of the AL West.

The other opening is one for those who like challenges! The team is Gold Canyon Prospectors (used to be the Houston Astros....yes we allow relocation of teams). They surprised the ANPA world by winning the tough NL Central division in the 2006 season after hovering around the bottom of the division in previous seasons. Unfortunately, they returned to near the bottom of the division last season when other teams in that division made vast improvements via trade and free agency. Currently, the team is go all out to get Josh Beckett.

This is a VERY active league with great owners and will be around for a long time, so if that is the kind of league you are looking for, please check us out. Contact me at huskerdan25@msn.com if you would like to be considered for taking over one of these teams.

Note: We are 6 days into the offseason free agent bidding process so if you want to help mold one of the teams through this process, contact me soon. We are currently running two sim days per day of free agency.
