Oh My!!!

It is all about the money anymore. He should be facing Cotto if anyone. Not that Cotto would win, but he is younger and hungrier. You never know what would happen.

I am sad to see this as a scheduled fight.

It's because Mayweather took away ODLH easy pay day in Hatton. Maybe the judges will watch the fight this time instead of calling the rounds for ODLH just because the crowd cheers when he misses.

PBF will have to win every round convincingly against ODLH (again) to get a split decision. Floyd should be fighting Cotto instead of a rematch against someone he handled somewhat easily the first time.

You hit the nail on the head.

I somewhat agree. After the way he handled Hatton and the fact that he was way ahead on the scorecard with GBP picking the judges gives me hope.

I said for the first fight he would have to win 9 rounds to get the decision and I was right. I'm not sure it will be any different this time. Maybe Floyd will be bolstered by his KO of Hatton and be a bit more aggressive which would help on the score cards.

I'd love to see him fight Cotto but realistically this is the biggest money fight for him still.

I just don't see the point of this fight. Even fans of Delahoya know he lost the first time, and the "Golden Boy" isn't getting any better with age.

Agreed! If endurance & speed were problems for Oscar in their fight in May of 2007, how will fighting again 16 months later improve Oscar's chances?

PBF will probably take the aggression he used in the Hatton fight into his rematch with DLH but it will remain to be seen if it translates into the same result. I think PBF's stock did go up with him KO'ing Hatton and will get more people to watch the rematch with DLH.

There is no doubt this is the biggest money fight for Floyd but all the haters will claim he is ducking Cotto. With the ridiculous amount of "armchair critics" floating around.....PBF will never get the credit he deserves until his gloves are hung up for good.

PBF KO'ing Hatton was like the worst possible outcome for PBF haters. Of course they throw out that he KO'd a smaller guy but not really considering PBF started out much lower than Hatton who has always been at 140.

I always laugh when the haters say PBF KO'ed a much smaller guy in Hatton. Floyd started at JLW (130 lbs) and was able to carry all the skills he has all the way to JMW (154lbs) without any noticable decline. So who was the smaller guy? The way I see it, PBF should be known as the "giant slayer".

When Hatton moved up a weight class he had trouble. Floyd had no problem carrying the extra pounds, not seeming to lose a step in speed. Some guys can do it. Look at Sam Langford starting as a lightweight and ending up still deadly at 190! Floyd was the bigger guy in there with Hatton, probably outweighed him in the ring by five or six pounds.

PBF was definitely the guy carrying more weight into the Hatton fight but for people to discredit his victory based on that is quite foolish. IMO.....PBF would have beaten Hatton rather easily even if the fight took place between 130-141 lbs.

I don't believe so - Either did Team PBF..... That is why they brought the fight up to 147....instead of taking on Hatton at his "best" weight of 140 (where he has been a long standing champion).

It is Team PBF that allowed the "haters" to have a legitimate issue....By moving the fight to 147...

As for PBF Vs ODLH II - Dumb fight - Not needed, nor wanted - PBF Vs Cotto is the fight -

I did read about that but why would PBF be afraid to fight Hatton at a weight where he was dominant before the "Hitman" was even on the radar as a viable contender/champion? Hatton was out there but he didn't really make a splash until he beat "Zoo". PBF has the speed and skill to beat Hatton at a lower weight and it's puzziling why he'd refuse that type of fight against a brawler who fights on the inside and is not exactly the speediest guy in the world.

PBF/Cotto is definitely the fight that should be happening. PBF/DLH will is just a fight for Oscar's ego and to run the schtick that the judges "robbed" him

The PBF-Hatton result is no different at 140, 135, 130, 154, 160, 112 whatever .... to say otherwise is just making excuses for Hatton getting his butt kicked.

I agree. No matter what weight PBF/Hatton took place at....Floyd would have won. It's clear who the better fighter is style wise and who is more skilled.

I just it odd that PBF would be afraid to fight Hatton at 140. When it comes down to it, it sounds like a bunch of hot air coming from "Hitman's" camp.

But there in lies the truth...the reality. That is...it is PBF who moved up (by-passed) fighting Hatton at 140. Not the other way around.

PBF could make 140 (no question about it). He chose to fight Hatton at 147.

And lets be clear...I long ago on this forum picked PBF over Hatton (and that was at 140). Nevertheless, it was PBF who chose not to face Hatton at 140...and fight him at his less than effective weight of 147. That is just the bottom line.

I believe Hatton stood a better chance at 140 than at 147. That doesn't change the fact that more often than not I still see PBF winning the fight.....but on those occassions where Hatton could score the upset....it was much more likely to happen at 140...not 147....and I think it is clear Team PBF understood this too....

The only way Hatton beats PBF is the same way he beat Kosta ... PBF is past-prime fighting on Hatton's turf with a ref who lets him do whatever he wants and then penalizes PBF when he does it back.

Hatton has been exposed by coming to the US and not having the decided home ring advantage. He just simply is not in the same league as PBF.

I see a KO this time around.

I'm not a fan of PBF. But I do respect him and what he can do in the ring. I had hoped Hatton would knock him down a notch, but wouldn't have placed a dime on it.

I think if PBF really went out and gave 110% against Oscar it would end rather quickly. Last fight was like watching the Bucs play, do enough to win some games but don't make it a big scoring game.

I think Cotto might give him a problem.
