Disappearing Graphics

WinXP SP2
144 RAM(I know, I know)
25.7 GB free 28.2 total

I've been playing since OOTP2 with no problems except no sound until this weekend. When I play now suddenly I have no OOTP graphic in the upper left hand corner, and when I play, the field picture is not there. Its just a black background. The team logos and player pics are there, but no field. What can be causing this? Do you need more info? I ran a virus scan and ad-aware scan last week. But I didn't scan my OOTP drive(yes OOTP is on a separate partition)

Let me add this was with 6.5a and it continued when I upgraded to 6.5b.

Steve, Henry, has anybody seen this or know what could be causing this? Do you need more info?

The only time I remember anything like this happening to anyone is either they failed to PROPERLY install a version or patch or they had some other issues(spyware, etc).

Did you recently update your video drivers by chance? Or DirectX?

Sometimes updates to these can cause programs that were working fine to have problems such as what you're seeing. If this is the case, you can roll back the video drivers using the device manager.

Thanks for the response. I have isolated the problem to 6.5. I loaded up 6.12 and it worked fine. Which is crazy because I have been playing 6.5 with no problems what so ever, except my Braves losing the WS after leading 3-0!! I can get the field.bmp to show but I can't get any other fields to show. Does anyone know the name og the logo in the upper left? Is it Logosmall.bmp? It's gone in 6.5 but is still in the folder. Its like the game sees the .bmp files but doesn't display them. I restored my comp to back when things were working, but it still hasn't worked. I can't go back to 6.12- I can';t play w/o 7day lineups!!!!!!!!!!
