Post Minor Leaguers

Alright...a couple of minor leauger questions here.

I am not a member of online leages so this applies to computer cotrolled teams.

1) when you fill in the minors or your league has a bunch of minor leagures are computer teams more inclined to dump older free agents for these rookies?

2) Does the computer cut minor leaguers that are sorry? Like some 28 yr. old bum in AAA?

3) how do the depth charts work? It seems that the older players in each minor league get more PT...I want some of my better players to get more pt in each league...should I dump the older guys who are getting no where to let the kids play more? Ex. I have a 20 yr phenom who made it from A to AAA ina couple of months but now he does not play there b/c a few 26-28 yr old players seem to play ahead of him.

I am just in search of some tips to manage my minor leagues better and get the best out of them.

Thanks,

In general you want to have no more than one player at each position in the minor leagues (although sometimes two isn't terrible, never more than that if you can help it) only having one player at each level will maximize the opportunity for you prospects to develop.

No, generally 4 or 5 of each works pretty well.

Its something in the AI that isn't working quite right, (IMO) myself and others have posted ways that we think might work to correct this issue in the Suggestions and Feature Wish List forum.

You can try and correct this yourself (maybe give the players cheaper deals to keep the computer financially solvent, or remove the players from the game).
