Can't trade draft picks or $$$ without a player involved

Hey guys,

Note: This is regarding online league play with 30 individual run teams, no computer mgmt.

I apologize if it's been addressed, but has it ever been explained why you cannot trade a player for JUST a pick and/or cash? The game is still looking for a player/player swap.

I feel this is not an appropriate feature. The engine should allow you to trade any asset (Pick, player, cash, or any combination of those) could be a trigger to initiate the trade, and not requiring at least a player on either side.

On a quick side note, I'd like to ask how difficult would it be to update the draft pick part of trading, and perhaps have buttons to select on available picks (including picks acquired from other teams). Would it be difficult to code future years' picks as well? (I know all leagues run different, but for my example, eMLB runs with 5 rounds, and teams can only trade picks in the current season, and 2 seasons ahead)
