Shop Player Around Query
What is the point of getting a list of players by using the Shop Around button, then find out that you cannot conclude the deal? More than once I have tried to make a trade using a player from this list, only to have the club tell me they are not interested in trading the player....Perhaps I am not understanding the actual purpose of the Shop Around list so any clarification would be appreciated.....

I haven't found that to be the case, although I don't have a large sample size. In game I have utilized it twice and the trade went through without a hitch. Same can be said with any outside game testing I've done.

Ok I realize what the situation is....what I am finding is that the player, that a team is willing to give you for a one to one trade, does not always show up in the "Players that would make deal work" trade box. So I was thinking this once available player was not actually available. If however, I select the player from the roster, then I see that the trade can be made. It's odd that the player does not always show up in the trade box, but at least I now know the trade can be made...thanks

Now for what it's worth I tried going at this bass ackwards to get a glimpse of who on my team the AI perceived would be offered up as a one on one trade. For example, I looked at Joe G on another team and shopped him around examining what players on my team showed up as potential tradeable players for Joe G.
No real essential info gleaned. But it was interesting to see what the other team was thinking I might offer up if Joe G were in the discussion. And .... if I were the other team I wouldn't have been talking to ME. My candidates fell way short of Joe G's capabilities.
