Bacebawl.com Re-Opens Doors

http://bacebawl.com (re-designing of site still in progress)
http://bacebawl.com/rules.htm

Many people informed me they liked the idea of Bacebawl.com and its ORS system, so I am re-opening the league with a little plot twist. Instead of the original 32 team season, we will be using 16 teams to start the league, given that OOTP recruitment isn't in its peak season.

Eight American League teams and eight National League teams will be used in the start up of Bacebawl. A random pool of 650 real MLB players will be used to start the league (approximately 16 teams full of 40 players). The remaining 900 MLB players will be put into the "vault", as future Amateur draft picks, and we will import them into their rookie season whenever it is their turn to enter the league.

For instance, players such as Barry Bonds might not make the original 650 player cut. If Barry Bonds didn't make the cut, he could import at any time in the future Amateur draft, as a 21 year old rookie with his entire career ahead of him. The amateur draft will consist of real MLB players for the first 10 seasons.

The league will start with a dispersal draft, allowing owners to build their team the way they like. This is basically a modern day/historical league hybrid. If interested in this league, please email me at coates87pats@yahoo.com with your name, age, email, AIM, and 4 teams of choice (2 American, 2 National).

The initial draft will be done on the message board, and with only 16 teams it should be a fairly quick draft. We will draft the original 25 rounds, and let CPU fill in our minor league system.

Here is a list of a few players who will import as future rookies in bacebawl:

Manny Ramirez
Albert Pujols
Todd Helton
Ken Griffey Jr.
Sammy Sosa
Eric Chavez
Johan Santana
Roger Clemens
Curt Schilling
Jason Schmidt

It's going to be fun watching Clemens career, and seeing if Griffey can stay injury free

Just a quick end of night update:

4 teams have been chosen, 3 from the AL (Oakland, Seattle, Cleveland) and one from the NL (St. Louis). We still need 5 more AL teams and 7 more NL teams.
