Semi-Tech Support question 6.5a

OK, so I'm not at the point of calling tech support yet, but I figured I'd at least post after searching here

I just upgraded to 6.5a from 6.12. License works fine, everything looks great. However, 6.5a is NOTICEABLY slower in some respects. For example, in the League Setup, when I click on something like Enable 40-man Roster, it takes about 15 seconds for the push button to switch over to say "Disabled". 6.12 was always very responsive.

Last night, I created my league, and set it to sim the whole season. I left it on overnight, and when I woke up the CPU was pegged at 100% and I could barely get the PC to respond. I had to end the task, and of course lost my progress. Now, bear in mind, #(*$ Norton Antivirus ran a full scan during this time, and the screen saver kicked in as well. So, I'm not holding this against OOTP yet.

Today, I took the same league, from where it was, and tried to sim one month, when I came back, I got the Windows "Your program died, do you want us to send diagnostic info" thingy. I figured, perhaps the league has been corrupted.

Anyway, I've started fresh today with a brand new league, and I've simmed through 4/12 without issue. The enabled/disabled buttons are still really slow. But like I said, I'm not too worried yet.

Just curious if anyone has seen the same things or has any thoughts, other than "don't sim while NAV is running."

Basic details about my system: XP Pro, plenty o' hard disk space, 768MB of RAM, 2Ghz processor.

Check the number of draft rounds in league setup if ANY of the issues deal with going from one season to the next. Bottom line is that obviously more and deeper anaylsis is being done by the game in several areas-hence the slow down.
