Game Crash on Sim

My Game randomly started getting extremely slow, like the pages wouldn't load. I saved and quit and the the game was very very slow to reopen, usually hung at loading names before finally loading. Now when I try to sim the next day the game crashes. After doing more testing it seems to only crash on the 2d sim engine. To add more information - I am on season 2, occurring in early October.

Turns out there's a single corrupt tactical file that's crashing it. But it's easy to fix: go to the \quickstart_games\Current.quick folder, and copy the 8 files that begin with "set_play" from there into your save, overwriting the one that's there (only one of them's fatally broken, but best to do them all just in case there are any other problems.) You'll be able to play without a crash after that.

Just curious, though: why do you have your defensive pairs set up like that, with one guy on each of pairs 3 and 4?

@jeff I don't manually do that. That's what happens when I hit one of the auto set lines or ai set roster (not at pc currently and don't remember which) when I don't have 3 available dmen at one position. So 4 LD and 2 RD, the game auto puts them as using the 4th line. I'm not sure why.

But exciting to have a fix, thank you fella!

This fixed sim crashing for me as well.
