Favor - Green Giant Font Needs An S
Hey everyone!
Lately, I have worked really hard on trying to design some new jerseys for the community to enjoy. I am able to use existing fonts and logos to craft some creative ideas. My trouble is that I cannot create my own script. I wanted to help EC with an update on his Green Giants team. Unfortunately, the script I found only is for the company "Green Giant". I love the font...would it be possible for anyone to edit in an S for me. You'd have my eternal gratitude. Thanks so much to anyone for trying in advance. |

One suggestion is to try a font search. You just upload an image and the program tries to match the font. This font looks like it should have a match or at least a near match. This font looks very familiar but I'm not a font savant. LOL These programs can be hit or miss. Before uploading the image replace the leaves with a dot (dot your I's) so it can be more accurate. You may find a font that you need to italicize. You may find a close font where you can create the entire text and replace the dot with the leaves instead of trying to just add an "S". You may have to try multiple sites. MyFonts and FontSquirrel have worked for me.

1991 Twins, this is more work for you than necessary.
I think your jerseys are much better than my current Joliet Green Giants, but it just takes too much time and work to revise them... I am fairly happy with my current ones. Thank you for trying... much appreciate the effort. Maybe one of the graphics gurus will see this thread and take care of it. You are a good man for trying so hard. |

I managed to get a free copy of the Kepler font... so I might able to recreate your version of the Green Giants, 1991 Twins.
Still hope a real graphic designer will do this the right way. Big thanks to micropterus58 for his help. |

Here is what I came up with... I am not skilled enough to put the leaf over the letter i... a dot will have to do.
Thanks, 1991 Twins... you done good... I like these jerseys. Just in case you notice, the J on the cap is a different font... the Kepler font J looked like an I, so I didn't use it... also I'm aware that the Green on the Cap is a little darker than the jerseys, but I am the one who has to live with it... it's OK with me. ![]() If anyone want me to rework the cap color and the font, I will do it... just let me know here. Just in case you want the cap font to match the jersey font, here it is... I also matched the jersey color, too.

I reworked the Home Jersey... Green Giants was not centered well.
Think this is better. That's it!... I'm tired of working on this... it's good enough for me. Funny, I just might the only one interested this team. Oh, well... thanks to 1991 Twins and the font and micropterus' help getting it. |

To make things easier, I will drop the leaf image here. You can recolor if you'd like. I also did redo the jerseys and caps one last time. I think the S fits better now and the J on the cap seems to be less of an I. You aren't the only one that likes this team. I know that when I play as an expansion team in OOTP one day that the Joliet Green Giants will be one of my minor league franchises. This was a fun project. ![]() Starting with the updated Joliet Green Giants jerseys: Last edited by 1991Twins; 11-23-2020 at 07:28 AM. |

Updated caps with the improved "J". Also, here are the wordmarks and the leaf if you'd like to toy around with your own creations

1991 Twins, it has been an absolute pleasure to deal with you.
I'm so glad that you enjoyed doing this project... you really outdid yourself... Hope I wasn't too picky and such a pain to deal with. I really like the Joliet Green Giants, too... the team name started off kind of corny and silly, but it has really turned out well because of your hard work and talent. Thank you. |

I actually reposted everything because I finally was able to get the S how I liked it on all of the jerseys. It is subtle, but a major improvement for me in game. The yellow jersey was redone completely with the green font and it looks much better contrast wise in game. Here's the craziest thing...I noticed that the Green Giant logo is actually flipped backwards in everything you had. For the jersey sleeve, it works best that way. But for your team logo, it looks weird when you notice it. So....long story short, I made it correctly and posted it under POST 12. Last edited by 1991Twins; 11-23-2020 at 08:35 AM. |
