Ok, first UGH about game..

Not a huge thing because it's a new feature, but the baseball card prints the "career" stats for the player - NOT the most recent year which is what I expected. The result is you have a series of cards showing the players "average" stats progress instead of multiple cards showing "seasonal" stats.

UGH. Guess that ruins my idea of printing out cards for my award winners

Please guys - update this as soon as possible?

We'll improve the BB cards for the first real patch, so in a few weeks...

Let's hope they are all happy surprises.

You can make the game do what you want right now if you have any text editing skills at all. In the baseball card folder there is an XML called default which you can open with wordpad or notepad and just change the lines where it says "CAREER" to "SEASON" and it will put that seasons stats on the card. If you want to mess around you can even change the alignmeant and have both that season and career totals.
One caveat is the game picks up the season stats from the point in the season you are so if you want end of year stats the card has to be made at the end of season but before the new year. See sample attached.

I have not collected baseball cards in a long while so I'm not sure what is standard these days. But, I'd like to see the back of the card display information (stats and name/age/hometown) in a horizontal rather than vertical format.

I don't want to step on anyones toes but I believe that someone already has a mod that he will release that does that. As Markus said better cards are coming

Is there an option to disable this feature? I have looked around and searched the manual, but no luck.

I do not dislike it, but it is the same idea as the Almanac for me. Not something I need or will take advantage of at this point.

There's nothing to disable. You only use it if you want to.

I thought I saw a box while simming that said "Creating baseball card for Player X"

I will have to double check if I saw what I thought I saw.

It looks like when someone gets inducted into the hall of fame, OOTP automatically creates a baseball card. It may also do the same for all-star games? That may be what you saw.

Yeah, the all star game might have been it. Would not mind being bale to disable that though.

I tried to add a runs section for hitters, and a strikeouts section for pitchers, but neither shows up on the card. Help?
