Budgetting and Abritration Problem
I noticed that my team's projected budget accounts for each player's predicted arbitration outcome. In my case, my team has no money left for contract extensions. This is not a problem for my team at this point especially considering I'll get money from the season once it's finished and before players file for free agency. The only thing is I might not get enough to fill the extensions I want.
Point is, the game does not allow you to sign a player to a contract for money you team does not have for contract extensions even if the player's assumed arbitration case is already accounted for in the projected budget and you can sign the player to a smaller deal.
For example: Andrew Lambo is projected to make 7.8 Mil through arbitration in each of the next two seasons. Lambo will take 7.08 mil over the next two seasons. A major league team take him on that contract since that is less weight on the budget then they have accounted for, correct?
Am I missing something? Or does this just need to be tweaked?
