Historical Sim Basketball?

I apologize if this post is out of place...

Im a long time lurker of this particular forum. I love reading all these wonderful historic sims. Im in the process of doing my own which I hope to post results for you all soon.

But my question pertains to my true passion in sports... pro basketball. Have any of you ever attempted a recreation of the NBA? If so what simulator and files were used? Ive attempted it a couple of times using JUmp Shot Basketball with a custom imported database and draft files dating back to 1951, but it almosts always ends up being corrupted or some odd quirk will set me back.

Has anyone attempted an NBA recreation with any success? Id love to hear your story. Thank you!

Cactus probably makes the best NBA simulation. It's expensive compared to an OOTP type game, because you have to pay for each season.
