What's your favorite type of online league?

You may select more than one option but please try not to.

I chose historical 1900-1920, but I actually enjoy any historical league really. Very tough to keep it to one

Err..yeah what he said! Too many choices. My favorite would have to be historical 1961-1980, some of the best players ever played during that time.

I do like a mix of fictional and historical players as a close second. It's nice to compare fictional dudes with the real guys and see what may happen.

I enjoy historical most. 1921-2000. Especially 1970 to 1994. Currant rosters is ok, but you eventually run out of known players and it becomes a fictional league. I also like a mix of all time players and players from a picked year the league starts in.

I like fictional the best, followed by historical. The reason I like fictional is I don't like the whole "hey I drafted Babe Ruth but he didn't hit 60 HRs for me" issue, I would much rather learn the players of my little fictional world

Fictional seems to work the best since you don't have preconceived notions as to how players should perform.

I think he ment Historical Players in a Fictional universe. For example, his league has players from the 80's (IIRC) but Fictional teams.

My choice isn't one of the options:

Real Teams, Fictional Players.

The SSBL which I'm currently a member of has this system.

I know, any league with real players will eventually become filled with fictional players. SSBL started like that right from the beginning though. Almost all my solo leagues are started like this as well, regardless of which era I decide to play. I like the real teams because it gives me some familiarity and closeness to real baseball, but like sporr, I like the fictional players because I won't have any preconcieved perceptions of what a player should do performance wise.

I thought Real Rosters, x years in filled this requirement. I voted 8 years in since the more fictional players the better.

Actually x years in doesn't fill my requirement. I like fictional players from day 1, not after 8 years or x number of years.
