problem with expansion?

I'm about 15 years into my fictional league (single player) and decided to add two teams. So after I hit proceed to the next season I added the two teams (from the edit league structure menu), named each team, and gave them each 50M to spend on free agents.

But after I enter the free agent menu and hit computer offers then "finish round" I keep getting an illegal operation message (not that anyone will know what it means, but the error message is below).

I did back up my season so I can still go back and try again, does anyone know what I did or am doing wrong?

You need to follow the guidelines <a href="http://www.ootpbb.com/board/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=000008" target="_blank">here</a>. I did and have had zero problems.

OOTP1,

This brings up an interesting question...will expansion be handled any differently or more easily in OOTP4??

I haven't seen any mention of this yet, but I may have missed it.

The problem was caused by not having enough players on the expansion teams rosters... you must have at least 25 players on the rosters before the end of the amateur draft. I wrote the FAQ Steve directed you to, if you have any questions feel free to ask, either in this thread or via Personal Message.

I do not know for sure, as I have done it in a league I play solo and have had zero problems at all. I just followed the FAQ guidelines.

Thanks guys, adding some minor leaguers did the trick. And I know this isn't the time nor place, but

, I really hope there is a expansion draft feature implemented sometime in the next couple versions, there's no way I'm doing all that on my own

. I did add 2 studs to the ammy draft and gave them the first two picks, but til' they're ready they'll have to live with minor leaguers
