6.12 and DL

I thought version 6.12 allowed you to place minor league players on the DL. It only lets you do it for about half of the teams. Anybody else have this problem?

Don't they have to be on the 40-man roster in order to be placed on the DL?

And I thought it was just the 60-day DL onto which you could put them.

I actually did this today. I noticed my pitcher in AA was going to be out two weeks with something so I decided to DL him. I dragged him to the window, only to have it ask me if I wanted to put him on the 60-day DL. I clicked no, but was then given the option of the 15 or the 60 day, so I was able to put him on the 15.

something i think ive noticed over the last couple weeks...

any player put on the DL, whether its the 15-day or 60-day, is removed from the 40-man roster. this is using 6.12.

anyone else seeing this?

That sounds like the way I would figure it to work...

That response is not what I would expect. The 60-day DL can open up a 40-man roster spot taken by a minor leaguer, but there is no reason to put minor leaguers on the 15-day DL. Thus, I would figure nothing to happen when you click no.

Not saying it doesn't happen, but I've had two guys (major league roster) get injured since using 6.12 and both are on the 15-day DL and they remain on the 40-man roster. If it happens, it's not all the time.

I haven't tried it with a minor leaguer on the 40-man roster, but I have tried with minor leaguers not on the 40-man roster and it still does not let me put them on the DL.

This is a good thing.
