Career Leaderboards and Catobase

I've used Catobase with several historical leagues and noticed that the only "career" stats were those generated through simmed years. Years prior to the sim aren't included on the leaderboards. Am I doing something wrong, or is this not possible with the current version of Catobase?

I'd really like to see true "career" leaderboards -- I know the full career stats are on the player pages, but they're not on the career leaderboards.

Not possible to my knowledge. It only counts the simmed years.

Actually, that part of Catobase will work well for me in one of my next solo leagues, as OOTP will give me a Career leaderboard, and Cato will give me a leaderboard since the league split. Kind of works out for me, but having it do one for a total career would would have been nice.

To my knowledge, catobase justs takes the stats from the past season and adds them to the database for that league.

It doesn't take any stats from "Real" seasons past even though they are contained in the game to some degree.

Technically, catobase just uses an access database, so it could be added but would be a monumental task.

Catobase does import career non-simmed stats, it just doesn't use them in the leaderboards. Which is actually also the way I prefer it, but at the same time, having the option would of been the best of both worlds.

Doh! now that I think about it ,you're correct. However, isn't it only for players currently playing?? I don't think it takes all the previous history of "real" retired players.

Yes but that is a limitation of OOTP not Catobase. It includes anyone who is included in CommishJoe's Career exporter. And OOTP has such a low and limited database for number of players it has to remove them as soon as they retire and then their record as a normal player record no longer exists for the career exporter to pick up and send to Cato.
