FNF Solves Insomnia
Did anyone else catch the snorefest between Guinn and Ahunanya? I dozed off somewhere around the 9th round and never saw the decision. I didn't really care either. That matchmaker should be ashamed of himself for putting those two together. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

I taped the fight b/c I had to work Friday night, and it turned out I ran out of tape about the 7th round. Lol, it's the first time I can remember misrecording a fight and not being pissed at myself. Heck, I didn't even bother to check the internet and see who won until two days later.

In the UK we normally get fights from the US in midweek in the early hours of the morning, and in my TV Guide for this week it said that the main fight of the week would be Guinn vs Ahunanya. I set the tape to record the show and turned it on when I got home from work tonight to find that in fact it was Brock vs McCline which I was very happy about. I had to switch it off after McCline/Brock so I don't know if the Guinn fight is on later in the show, but I doubt it because after the first fight I saw Carlos Vilches' name come up as one of the boxers in the next bout and the show is normally only an hour and a half or so.
It sounds like Channel 5 over here were not very impressed with the Guinn bout and decided to put this one on instead which was a great fight. I thought Brock boxed very, very well inside and defended very nicely (especially in the early rounds). McCline had a good spell but Brock did great to get up from the knockdown and fight back well enough to earn a 10-9 round (in my opinion). In the end, couldn't argue with the result but I was rooting for Jameel in this one. |
