OOTP7 Playoff structure

I know from reading Markus' comments, that we'll be able to have any number of different leagues running concurrently as separate entities but still have them be a part of the same "Baseball World". (Ex: like having a MLB, a Japan League, and a Dominican League).

My question is this: Will we be able to take the Champions from each of our leagues and have a play-off system of some sort where they can play it out for a World Championship? I've tried searching for an answer but have come up empty handed so far. Can anyone give me an answer for this?

Expanding the flexibility of the playoff structure is a huge item to me. Along with connecting different leagues as you describe I would like to be able to set up some different playoff structures. Here are two examples using the 2L/6D league structure (current MLB).

1 - No wild card teams but the team with the best record in each league gets a bye to the LCS.

2 - Three division winners and two wild card teams in each league. The two wild card teams have to play either a one or three game playoff to get into the LDS.

I think that this would be fairly easy. All you would need is a tree option in the league set up screen where you define the structure. You would have to have options whether you want the best record to play the worst record, if you want to use the current system where two teams from the same division can't play each other in the first round, or if you want to be able to define the match ups manually at the start of the playoff round.

I'm calling for greater flexibility in playoffs, too.

More specifically I want leagues where there's only one league, for it to be possible to have playoffs.

I find it absurd that in a 2D/1L setup that I can't have the division winners play one another in the playoffs for the title.

I'm surprised that there haven't been more replies on this subject. I would imagine that there are many online leagues who would like to end their seasons with double elimination tournaments like the College WS, or Round Robin tournaments like the Olympics, etc.
