Japanese Set
I'm trying to set up a sister league for my current MLB Roster League...Can someone point me in the right direction of a Japanese or even a Mexican named database?

If you just want Japanese or Mexican names for your (fictional) players, you want the Originator...
If you're looking for a Japanese league or Mexican league database so you can import actual players a la Lahman, I've never heard of one. (though someone did have a Korean pro ball league file made up... I think it was Jayzone?)

Ur.... correction. It's a Taiwanese pro ball roster set (CPBL 2004 roster set), not a Korean roster set.
It was a quirky project. Sadly, I think it's way too quirky so that not many people were interested in it. Oh well, I kinda expected so. If you are inesterested, I guess I can do a bit of shameless promo here. The roster set is based on the real 2004 Chiese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) opening day roster. CPBL is a small 6-team league. Not only accurate past-season stats are included, but two sets of facebacks (pose/action) are also included. The discussion threads are here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boa...ead.php?t=69908 (General discussion thread) http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boa...ead.php?t=69907 (OOTP6 Mod thread) Oh, if you do want to use it as an import source, there is one thing that you will have to know. The rating distribution in the roster set is adjusted to be closely matched to a game-generated custom league. What this means is that the best hitter/pitcher in the game will have ratings around 100 or so. When you do the import, you will probably want to tune down the ratings in odrer to give a close approximate ML performance translation. Otherwise, you may have an imported player hitting well over .300 right from the start and that is just not true to life. However, if you don't care about performance translation accuracy between different leagues, then go right ahead and import away. Hope this helps a bit. Whoops... I stand corrected, Jayzone.

I know this is an old post, but is there a file with real Japan players?
