Which NFL Madden is the best ?

I own NFL Madden 1999 for the PC. Now I think it's time to buy a newer one. Which one do you recommend for the PC.

The newest one that you can afford. They have gotten better each year, albeit only slightly between some years.

Hodl on now

Over in MaddenMania, the PC users are upste at 2005 from what I've seen.

Maybe head over there and ask them...I think they said 2003 was the best

I don't know. Madden '93 for the Super Nintendo never gets old. Michael Irvin over the middle! Never drops the ball.

Barry Foster is rated as good as Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith in that version.

As always thanks a lot guys. I think I'm gonna get the 2003 version for now. I can get it quite cheap so I'm gonna try it out.

That's because they're video game nerds who will adamantly refuse to give props to newer versions unless they are like 500% better. These are basically the same crowd that continues to insist that Final Fantasy 4 is a better game than 7 or 8 or (god help us) X or X-2. Or that Fallout 2 was a piece of crap compared to the original (it had the EXACT SAME ENGINE. HOW COULD IT SUCK THAT HARD?).

CPU owners get pissy when there are things you can do on the PS2 and not on the computer.

I think the management of the MaddenMania website should take a look at how things are over here. I hardly go over there anymore because of some of the crap I hear from the moderators.

Hi Guys
Can Madden 2005 be played with you as just the coach or is it a hands on, meaning you control the players on the field.
Thanks.

You can just call plays if you want to. You do not have to control players.

2005 for Xbox. And 2006 will probably be better.

Just got 2005 MVP and it looks like its the best console baseball game that I've played so far. With rare exceptions (ASB took a step backwards a few years ago), the games get better.

Well I did get NFL Madden 2004 for 7 bucks. Let's see how I like it. No matter it should be better than the 1999 version I have.
