80's League Looking For New Owners

The Ronald Reagan League at simcentral.net is looking for a few new owners to join our ranks as we make our way through the 1980's. We've just finished the 1984 season and are about to start our free agent period/amatuer draft. Jose Canseco, Cecil Fielder, Vince Coleman, Sid Fernandez and Lenny Dykstra are just a few players about ready to join into the league and next year we start getting Barry, Maddux, and Will Clark, amongst others.

The team's available are:

The Seattle Mariners-coming off a World Series win, plenty of talent. Could contend for years.

The Chicago Whitesox-Coming off a good year, have the reigning AL Cy Young and ROY winner in Doc Gooden and some nice talent. Could become a contender with some TLC.

The Milwaukee Brewers-Unloved team needs some back rubs and some tenderness. Has some talent but is more of a fixer upper. (SOLD!!)

The Atlanta Braves-Just finished 82-80 despite the best pitching staff in the league. Doesn't need too much work to make into a contender, plays in a tough division, though, so you'll need to be on your guard. (sold)

So, if you have any interest in reliving this period of time or just like the concept and players, please contact Knucklehead7, Tavarin or thebishop over at www.simcentral.net or look into the league forum . Or drop off a Ping (PM) over here to me, knuckler or Tavarin as well. Thanks.

I'm in the Victory League with some of these baseballsimcentral dudes, and it's good fun... good, competitive GM's... i'm not in this Reagan league but it's a lot of the same people as the Victory League, so if you're looking for an 80's league, i'd give this one a shot.

The Milwaukee Brewers have been sold to Ford Prefect, leaving us with the Chicago Whitesox, Seattle Mariners and Atlanta Braves to be filled in. Both have some really great players and play in exciting divisions, making for some great opportunities.

Our draft and free agent period has just begun, so if you're interested, drop us a line

We also need a Braves owner. The league is a pretty good league, it just needs some solid ownership in a few cities.
