Rule V ?

Ok. When the rule V draft occurs, any team who selects a player has to keep him on the 25man roster, correct? In one of my leagues I accidently found a way around this. I put him on waivers, and DFA. Then took him off waivers and put him in AAA. Is this supposed to be able to happen?

Nope, it's a loophole.

Thats a pretty monsterous loophole.. its like, the only thing that Rule V does.

Does this happen in every case (that the guy will accept demotion), or only in certain circumstances?

It will happen in any case in which the player would normally accept demotion to the minors. Unfortunately, that applies to nearly every player that will be available in the Rule 5 anyway.

I actually wasn't able to reproduce this, are you sure you can do this with everyone in Rule V?

To do this:

1. Put player in DFA.

2. Remove player from waivers.

3. Hit the automanage.

That's how you demote someone who doesnt' want to be demoted, butRule V guys won't get onto DFA...

Oh yeah, the league I had a password for didn't have waivers on, but yeah... that's pretty awesome.

OOTP 6 will be released and eventually tested and ready
