Question Stats equaling the era I'm in?

To everyone:

This is my first post. I'm a newbie of sorts to OOTP, but not the baseball gaming world. But still, I'm new here.

So, obviously, my first question has to be one that I'm sure many people have answered before.

Is there a process I have to use in order to get the stats to line up with the era I'm playing in? For example, I'm running a league in the DeadBall Era, just to test the stats, for an internet league I'll be starting. The HR leader in the first season had 49, which is not what I was looking for.

Now, to be fair, I recalculated the stats at the All-Star break, as that was unforseen on my part. Is this something that's needed to be adjusted after every season?

I did it a month into my next season. To give you an idea of what I'm getting now...the leader had 56 HR, and the strikeout king had 431 K.

So, what am I doing wrong? I guess that's what I'm getting at, through so many (too many) words.

Please, either reply or hit me up on AIM at UCONNROX11, or ABLCommish. I'll be here.

Peace
John

..here's what i did when i started my 1903 career..

i kept the lg.totals the way they were when i made the lg from lahmans database..(deadball era obviously)...after the first season,i added up the ab,h,hr,etc from the stats that were generated from the season..and put that into the lg.totals for the next(1904)season..i did not hit recalculate totals!

this method was from someone(sorry,i forget who??!!)from last year(ootp3)..it seems to work rather well!...hope this helps ya some..
