Thru April:
Best Records: 1922 Pirates(22-6), 1995 Red Sox(20-8), 1995 Angels(19-9), 1927 A's(19-9)

Biggest Surprise Team thus far: #22 Seed 1995 Angels(19-9)

Biggest Dissapointment: #2 Seed 1909 Tigers(9-19)

HR Leader: Boog Powell('63 BAL) 8

BA Leader: Bob Fothergill('27 DET) .472

Wins Leader: Johnny Morrison('22 PIT) 7

Once again a Pirates' team leads the way. They all seem built for this tourney.

That must have been his 40 homer year. A rare feat for a catcher.

Wow. I didn't know that '95 Red Sox team was that good. I mean, I knew they were good, but damn.

And those early Pirate teams. What a group.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting that either. Clemens and Canseco carried them to that record. As of right now they would be the #1 seed going into round 2.

The Pirates are rolling. Seven teams have played thus far and seven have advanced. Group #5 should test that streak though.

I'm not trying to be a jackass, but why don't you put all of these into one thread? Following the entire concept in one thread is a lot easier than someone in June trying to catch up and having to track through the deadwood of the board to find earlier rounds.

TWB has 50 seasons in one monster thread. You don't see a lot of people complaining about its sprawling nature. Quite the opposite.

Well I did this so that people could comment on each individual group. The discussion for this league could become very complicated if I were to league it in a sigle thread. This isn't a league like the TWB where the same league is played in career mode. Each group has a totally different makeup of teams. So within a central thread if you were to say, "Boy, that Babe Ruth had a great season", no one would know which Babe Ruth you were talking about without also adding the vintage. I am certainly not trying to hog the front page and if there are enough people that think this is an issue, I will certainly go to a single thread.

I also like the fact that people can can just glance at the preview of the group threads by hovering and see if any of their favorite teams are in this particular group. It makes following your favorite teams a little less daunting.

As far as following the tourney, I have each group thread linked within the central thread, so it should be very easy to follow later on.

But as I said if there are other people that feel that how I am doing things is wrong, then let me know and I will figure something else out.
