Are the ratings 'real' when playing without scouts?
Ok, I've seen this brought up before but with no real definitive answer.
If you set up a league without Coaches/Scouts, the 'help info' at the bottom says the ratings are the real ones. Other people have talked about 'Average Scouts' being used instead (ie, one set for all teams). Also, in past versions of the game (based on a search), the draft pool is scouted by an 'average scout', not yours. Is this still the case even if the ratings are real once a player's been drafted? Guess my basic question is, without scouts are ratings of all players and the draft pool always the real ones, or are they based on 'average scouts'? Thanks Robert Gamble |

They're the real ratings. If you go into edit mode - whatever type of league it is...scouts or no scouts - you get to see the real ratings, and the ratings in a league with no scouts always match up with what shows in the edit mode.

The only thing I will add is that if you are using a different ratings set other than 1-100, only the max rating is shown (i.e. a 10 on the 1-10 scale) even if the actual rating is well above that. If you are using the 1-100 scale, you can select the option to have ratings above 100 shown.
