Do players on AI teams learn new positions?

Apologies to all if this has been asked before (though a search on this came up empty):

In OOTP6, will the computer-managed teams ever make their players learn new positions? If so, how often does this occur (and does it happen during spring training only or during the season)?

I've seen it a lot on AI controlled teams in the minors. Just look at one of the AI teams minors and if they have 2 or more players who play the same position at the same level, check their line-up for that level and you'll see guys that are learning new positions.

Can't say I've ever seen it in ST or the Majors.

Same here. I've seen it many times in the minors. I can't say I've seen it in the majors, though.
