DBLC2 Has Openings

The DBLC which has been running since 2001 and just finished its 22nd simmed season has decided to revert back to 2004 rosters and start it all over again. Since the original was started in v3, many things have happened to the DBLC over time that we'd like to fix by this simple restart. With that said, it is my pleasure to announce that the DBLC will be renamed the DBLC2 and we have openings!

Despite reverting back to the old rosters of 2004 and dumping 23 years of history, the DBLC still boasts a number of oringial owners which says so much about the group of guys in the league and the stability of commissioners over time. By joining this league you would be joining a community of good owners who like wheeling and dealing and would not quit on a whim.

With that said, the following teams are still available:

Baltimore Orioles
Colorado Rockies
Chicago Whitesox
Arizona Diamondbacks
Boston Redsox

The league is modern day using Halofan's 2004 rosters which have then been updated as recently as the Randy Johnson deal of today. On Sunday January 9th there will be a live free agency period for those players who still remain free agents in the "real" MLB. Guys like Carlos Beltran and Kevin Millwood are still available unless they are signed by Sunday. Ratings for the league will be set on a 1-10 basis, coaches and Rule 5 turned off and most other options will be on.

Again, this is a great league with great owners. Reverting back to 2004 will give us the opportunity to do some things that we wished we had done with the original league (i.e. Cato pages).

Anaheim gone and processing a few other applications and trying to assign teams. We are still perhaps going to need another 1-3 owners as a few of our old owners have not yet contacted us about staying on with the league. So keep the emails coming and we'll let you know.

Live free agency will take place on Sunday night for remaining free agents on file. Guys like Carlos Beltran, Magglio Ordonez, Roger Clemens and Odalis Perez are still available.

Right now the DBacks and quite possibly the Royals are available.
