Animation-Commentary

Is it me, or are most of the the punches in the commentary opposite from the punches in the animation? I really don't need to see the animation if it is not at least somewhat accurate. I also don't really need the extra "color" comments that have nothing to do with the fight. They are just thrown in there, and really have nothing to do with anything. Why not just remove them?

I know what you mean

I know what you mean. I was watching a fight, and in the animation, and the sound, my fighter pounded the garbage out of the other guy, but when I read the text, it had nothing in it that even came close to the boxers in the ring.

Perhaps I need to get out more.

And to keep it on topic, yes, the commentary certainly has issues.

My take is I like the antimation - and I would say that about 90% of the time it follows the text of my simmed fights - (I am surprised some are having an issue with it not??) -

Now, the antimation guys don't show every punch that lands (via the text)....but by and large if a guy lands a punch via antimation it will most certainly say so in the text -

I enjoy the antimation very much -

I would really like to have differing color fighters that we could pick from (like in the old TF-98) - That is when they had the top-down view of the ring...and the small antimation guys would fight as the text went - I thought that view was much better.....as the fighters moved around the ring you could really see who was pressing the action ......You could see a fighter get caught up in a corner, etc -

Part of me would like to see animated fighters with different sizes and colours, but I know it would detract from the commentary, unless it was spoken, and Andreas has said that won't happen. Still the versatility of the present action graphics could be improved upon, and we could have an option of selecting skin colours prior to a bout.
