SEBL has openings!

SEBL (South Eastern Baseball League) has been going strong since May of this year. Before the SEBL, I ran FBBL (one of many, I hear) that was around from Feb. 2001 to March of 2004. The league was not closed due to time difficulty or anything like that. We just agreed that after several seasons and such that it was time to put the league to rest. It had basically ran it's course after three full years.

So, then I embarked on a new league. A league that I had tried my hand at earlier (unsuccessfully, I might add), thjat was a players league. My fatal flaw was running the league via e-mail (yahoogroups).

With some changes (mainly, a message board to house contracts and such) I've given the players league thing another try. So far, it's come off without a hitch.

We've jsut started our 4th season and we welcome any of you that wish to give us a try. The links are below. Some of the things we offer?

-> Media section: complete with player fan interest/IMAGE that's influenced by media appearance and stats/accomplishments to give the perfect blend that can make your player a beloved fan favorite or a hated man.

-> Endorsements: Once your player ahs built up a reputation, companies start calling wanting you to represent their products. Good or bad guy? We still have something for you to peddle.

-> Agents, Players, Owners, General Managers, Player Rep and Managers. We simulate every important position in baseball... so there's bound to be something unique you'd like to try your hand at.

-> A real functioning CBA and Players Union.

-> Ability to spend the money you make on a home that you can add on workout equipment to and improve your player. There's also equipment to buy, graphic firms that can make your player signatures and things like that for a price. You can donate your money to charity for IMAGE boosts and also blow it on drugs and beer to become an even bigger bad boy.

-> Your media image matters! If you're a good guy or bad guy and one of the most recognized faces in the league then if your team trades you, cuts you or doesn't re-sign you, they will lose fan interest when you leave.

-> We have an amateur draft, a waiver priority draft and provide a real simulation of baseball -- just people run the players.

Having players with names like Harry Ballz, Santa Claus, & John "Big Stick"
Holmes seems kind of juvenile and kind of takes away from the realism,
IMHO. Of course that sort of thing may be popular for all I know!
