Game Signing Coaches for You?
This has happened to me two years in a row now. Last season my team inexplicably hired a hitting coach at over $1M per season. I went with him since he was good (even though I normally wouldn't have offered that deal) but with my team in financial straits I decided to release my hitting coach, pitching coach and scout, while my AAA manager's contract expired.
I went into the coaches screen and the game has made offers for all four positions without my consent. The things is, we're in debt so we shouldn't be allowed to offer anything above the minimum. This has happened two seasons in a row so I have to believe there is some bug going on. Has anyone else experienced this? EDIT: Here's the transactions screen: Quote:
I check in my coaches screen, though, and it has him at the contract I offered. Somehow with a payroll of $17M last season I managed to get charged $29M in player expenses. I have a feeling that extra money went to ghost coaches I signed. EDIT EDIT: And looking at the almanac I'm right on target. And it's much, much worse than it was this season: Quote:
I'm using CBLv2.1. I released all of my major league players and coaches at the start of free agency last year (see this thread). I don't see why that would make this happen though.
