Highest Arbitration Total
Anyone ever had a player get more in arbitration than this:
PUE:Carmen Guerra gets a new one-year contract worth $6,670,357 through salary arbitration. Previously, the most I had seen was a figure in the $4 millions... What's even more amazing is that this was Guerra's first chance for arbitration... I cannot imagine what he might get in coming seasons... However, this guy deserves every penny he gets... Check out his player page here! Here are his stats from his three professional seasons: Code:
Year G GS W L SV ERA IP HA R ER BB K CG SHO Teams 2006 18 18 9 8 0 5.97 123.2 134 84 82 22 117 1 0 PUE 2007 39 39 22 11 0 2.79 287.0 210 93 89 56 242 5 1 PUE 2008 40 40 25 7 0 1.62 310.1 186 59 56 62 283 8 5 PUE Total 97 97 56 26 0 2.83 721.0 530 236 227 140 642 14 6 |

I have Pujols in a 2003 league and he's scheduled to receive 7.7 mil.

I had two guys get over 6 million in arbitration this year in one of my online leagues. They're both worth it, though. One of them won Rookie of the Year and then the next two Cy Young awards.

My high for an actual league with real players was Pujols with $9.6 mil.
Had a pitcher in a fictional league (unedited) in the late 2020's who won 25 games his 4th season and received something like $9.8 mil. Wonder if it's capped so know one can go up to $10.0 in arbitration?

Wonder what would happen if you benched Pujols (put him in the minors even) for 2003 .. how much he would get in 2004

I've had a couple guys make in the 9's in arbitration in their first eligible year. One's a pitcher the other is a 3b. It will be interesting to see how high they get up to.

In my historical league, Bonds received a nice arbitration award of $10.91 million. He's gotta be one of the best I've every seen in the game all around. For some reason he was given an A arm in the outfield, worked up to an A range, is a 10 in hits, a 13 in homeruns and an 11 in walks.

This has come up in an online league.. http://www.longballer.com/results/p466.html
He was signed when the league was created to a contract of the same amount, but got that award in arbitration this year as well. His estimate was 7.7 mil, so I have a feeling a bug of some sort kept him from going down to what he should get in arbitration.. any thoughts? |
