Longest Streaks

Jimmie Foxx of my '31 A's just had a 43-game hitting streak snapped. It was only the 47th game of the 1933 season and his current average is .410. My A's are also currently on a 23-game win streak with a .365 team batting average with 4 regulars hitting over .400 and the lowest regular hitting .290. Lefty Grove is 11-4, 3.23, Red Ruffing 10-1, 4.39, Lon Warneke 13-0, 2.92, George Earnshaw 8-2, 4.81. This team is one of the best I have ever seen.

In a online league I actually had a guy on the Braves (my brother in law's team, hard to watch ) Rafael Furcal shatter the Dom's hit streak after 66 games. That was pretty awesome to watch.

Longest I have had since or before that one was 33 games by Eric Munson of the Tigers.

That Furcal hit streak was OOTP5.

I had the 1941 Joe D. do a 48 game hitting streak in a replay of the 41 season. It was spooky to see him get so close to his real mark. After the streak ended, he started another one later in the season that ended at 23. He flirted with .400 all year and ended up winning the triple crown.

That's pretty sweet. We're you managing him or was he computer controlled?

I've never seen anyone go above the mid-30s in my leagues. It's doubly frustrating since it's something I always watch for.

I had Cliff Floyd hit in 46 straight playing in my solo league ( I know!!! I thought it was amazing he could play in 46 straight games without getting hurt).

It was a very exciting run as I played out all the games, and at least 4 times after 35 games he extended the streak with a hit on his last at bat in the 8th or 9th inning.

It is easier to have long streaks for players on your team when playing out the games. With simmed games, the computer will rest a tired player on a streak and then pinch hit him late in a game. 0-1 and the streak is over.

Hitting streak doesn't get lost if a player doesn't make a plate appearance so he probably had like fifteen 3 game hit streaks all spread throughout a 4 season period with a two week injury in between each 3 game streak.
