Question re: Creating Web Pages with Catobase
I'm sure this has been covered several times, but I couldn't find it through a search.
When I create the HTML pages at the end of every season, should I be copying over the existing pages - by sending the pages to the same directory - or should I be sending them to a new directory each year? My understanding was that the Program would merely add the current year to the existing HTML pages but I can't seem to get the Program to do this properly. Thanks in advance. |

As long as you don't erase anything you should be sending everything to the same directory each year. If you send to a new directory, you are not going to get files that are not regenerated for past seasons.
However, if you select the option to generate all years, then it doesn't matter, Cato will recreate all the year based HTML files. |

NOTE: Ahh, thats why it takes a long time to generate HTML reports after multiple seasons. This is referring to the "if you select the option to generate all years, then it doesn't matter, Cato will recreate all the year based HTML files" part of Daves post. I have read stories that it can take up to a whole night depending on PC specs ,ect. Last edited by Deitrus; 10-29-2004 at 06:34 PM. |
