Odd glitch in Team Transactions reports?

I noticed this this evening when looking at a player's career I've been following. I saw that he had signed an extension some time and went to his team's transaction news to find out exactly when:

Monday 7/32/2016 :

Released 1B Ross McCary.
Released 1B Antonio Guzman.
Released RF Martin Foster.
Released P Alva Concepcion.
Released P Modesto Mara.
Released P Alexis Brown.
Danilo Delgado has been signed to a contract extension, $8,550,000 per year, for 4 years.
James Blake has been signed to a contract extension, $4,390,000 per year, for 3 years.
Juan Basora has been signed to a contract extension, $4,310,000 per year, for 3 years.
Taketarou Bunzo has been signed to a contract extension, $2,780,000 per year, for 3 years.
Garret Dehn has been signed to a contract extension, $1,530,000 per year, for 3 years.
Lawrence Burke has been signed to a contract extension, $720,000 per year, for 3 years.
David Wright was placed on waivers and designated for assignment.
Herbert Rutherford was promoted from AAA to the active roster.
Thomas Whitford was sent down from the active roster to AAA .
Mack Cartwright was sent down from the active roster to AAA .
Justin Modzelewski was promoted from AAA to the active roster.

I don't know why OOTP wrote it down as July 32 instead of August 1st.

Hmm, I went back and looked in the Almanacs which were under patch 6.30. They had this odd behavior:

Tuesday 7/31/2012 :

Trade with Atlanta :
We get :
SS Stephen Frank
Atlanta gets :
P Aldo Puñal
P Bobby Aleshire


Tuesday 8/1/2012 :

Juan Benitez has been signed to a contract extension, $3,590,000 per year, for 3 years.
James Foley has been signed to a contract extension, $920,000 per year, for 3 years.
Alphonso Schlater has been put on irrevocable waivers.
Omar Melendez was sent down from the active roster to AAA .
Harold Smither was promoted from AAA to the active roster.
David Cuddy has been put on irrevocable waivers.
Cory Keefer was promoted from AA to AAA .
Harold Aaron was sent down from AAA to AA .
Omar Melendez has been claimed off waivers by Fresno.

Or

Friday 7/30/2010 :

Raymond Bissell was sent down from the active roster to AAA .
Charles Draughn was promoted from AAA to the active roster.


Saturday 8/1/2010 :

Wiley Resendiz has been signed to a contract extension, $1,240,000 per year, for 3 years.
Michael Knipp has been signed to a contract extension, $760,000 per year, for 1 years.
David Villalpando was promoted from AAA to the active roster.
Magglio Tostado was sent down from the active roster to AAA .
