Post Suggestions for Contracts

Okay, I'm in my 70th something year of simming and the players, coaches, and scouts all sign for the same amount they would have signed for 70 years ago. I'd like to suggest an escalation of salaries (for example, like FOF) so after many years of escalating I'm not sitting with $600 mil in the bank. I guess I could put a hard cap on to solve this problem, but baseball today doesn't have a cap so that would not be my first choice. Just MHO.

Or an option in League Setup to use 'points' instead of dollars. It might solve the phenomenon, if playing Historical settings, of having players earnng millions in the Dead Ball era.

I love static contracts. In FOF when you get to 2020 players are taking $50 million signing bonuses, and you have no idea how much star players go for.

Well, I don't like points at all, and I may be mistaken but I don't think it would be all that difficult to escale salaries. Right now I know I can get any coach or scout I want for $2 mil, which is nothing since I'm sitting on $600 mil. Plus any free agent is a piece of cake. And the sad thing is I try to trade with certain teams and they tell me they can't afford the contract. I guess it doesn't work quite the same for the AI. I just think this would be a nice enhancement to implement.

Tarkus:

Try setting your league wide cash maximum to a much lower amount like $10,000,000. Version 4 does a much better job of not bankrupting the other teams from what I've seen in my two leagues so far.

You'll also begin to note that if your team gets too good, the AI will adapt by having several players and coaches who don't like your organization.

Thanks Kevin I might give that a shot. And yes I am beginning to feel unloved 'cause so many coaches and players don't like my team. Now I know how the Yankees feel!
