What do you use to create logos?

What application do you use to create logos with? Do you take clip art and import it into an image and merge two images together? Finally, if I gave you all of my team names could you create a logo for all of them? I think this question is for Eugene Church. I am new to the boards.

I use Paintshop Pro... and an older version at that. I'm sure others use far better applications; its just that I'm used to this one and old dogs don't learn new tricks very easily.

It depends on what I'm after. If I'm trying to reproduce a particular image accurately (which is usually the case for me), I'll find that image then do the cutting, resizing, fixing, etc it takes to use it. If all I can find is something close, then I'll edit, fix, redraw or whatever to get it to where I need it. I'm not much of an artist so I do very very little original artwork, but then nearly 99% of the time I'm trying to reproduce in OOTP-usable format something a team really used or (more likely) wore.

Maybe not me personally, but I'd bet some person or people here could....

It would help if you also game some ideas of how you might envision the logo; colors or a motif... something upon which someone can base the logo.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely come up with the team nicknames and submit them on here and see what I get. Beggars can't be choosers huh? My team is the Birmingham Steel Bats (as in Baseball Bats).
