League Setup Question?
Hey there. I'm sure if I had a manual I could find the answer, and after searching the forums, I still can't find an answer, so here goes..
1. I want to create a new league. I want 2 Leagues, 3 divisions per league, 4 teams per division. That isn't a problem I know how to do that. Then I want to be able to play with the Lehman database with the 2003 stats, and those players. I want to release all those players and have a fantasy draft. Then, I would like to have the season start in 2004. Someone please tell me how to do this.. 2. How do I start a season using the Lehman database, but start in the 2004 season. Every time I create a historicall league, it always starts my season in 2003! I know how 2003 turned out, I want to play 2004! 3. How do I do a fantasy draft with historical players? I am sure I'll have more questions, but for now this will work. Thanks

1. Import the players using this as a guide: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=30987
2. Setup the league the way you wish. 3. League setup has an option to: -Reset, release ALL players, fantasy draft. 4. 2003 MUST be played if yous use the database as you now have it. Hope this helps.

Well if are you are talking about taking the 2003 teams but starting in OOTP in the year 2004 you can do the following....
Create a custom league... Make it the structure you want as far as leagues...and divisions... Make all divisions with 0 teams... Change "Players" to say NONE The "League Start Year" should say 2004... Click Generate league... Now go into league setup... Now go to the league setup drop-down menu (top right)...and select EDIT LEAGUE STRUCTURE Now Click on one of the divisions IMPORT TEAM buttons (ideally to make it easier you could already name your divisions beforehand)... Make sure the Path to the Lahman DB is correct... Click Select Year...in this case 2003.... Now click Select Team The rest of the options are just like a historical league .... If your trying to do this with MLB current structure...you'll have to repeat this process for all thirty teams. Now if you were wanting a 2004 updated teams (aka with all the 2004 trades and moves) thats impossible till a new DB comes out or someone makes one. |
